    Professor Agustín Coletes-Blanco holds a PhD in English Studies and teaches at the University of Oviedo. He is also an honorary visiting professor of Hull University. Other positions held include several visiting professorships and research fellowships at various European and American universities. He has published widely on literary and cultural projection/reception, British travellers in Spain, and Romantic poetry. He is the editor and Spanish translator of Samuel Johnson's Journey to the Western Islands of Scotland, Byron's Mediterranean Letters and Poems, and various modern essay-writersColetes-Blanco is the PI and leader of two successive international projects on the European poetry of the Peninsular War and the Spanish liberal revolution. Work derived from those initiatives includes Poesía inglesa de la Guerra de la Independencia (Espasa 2013) and Poesía inglesa del Trienio Liberal (Salamanca UP, 2020), both with Alicia Laspra. Other recent publications include "Anglo-Spanish Transfers in Peninsular War Poetry: Translating and zero-translating" (Palgrave 2017), "Spain and Byron's The Age of Bronze" (Springer 2018), "Poems on the Spanish Liberal Revolution in the British Radical Press" (Lang 2019), and "A Forgotten ‘Romantic' Excursion: Joseph Blanco White's A Journey to the Trosacks in 1816" (Romanticism 2021). Coletes-Blanco's third international project as PI and leader, on European cultural and literary projections of the First Carlist War, is currently underway. See further https://www.unioviedo.es/EURICAR20/
